Tennen Rishin Ryu Gekiken
Gekiken is a kenjutsu training method using bamboo swords and body armor that developed during the Tokugawa period of feudal Japan.
Gekiken, literally shooting or attacking sword, allows for pressure testing techniques and stress inoculating students within a controlled setting.
Quite often, in interpersonal armored Close Quarters Battle, combatants would tumble to the ground and required small tool (tanto, kaiken, or wakizashi) finishing techniques.
Kato Sensei and Sandro Furzi of the Tennen Rishin Ryu Hatsuunkan Dojo demonstrates gekiken (撃剣) practice.
