The swords of Muramasa Sengo were famous for their sharpness and quality. Yet the Japanese also called them cursed. There were stories of owners of Muramasa blades suddenly striking down their enemies, lost in bloodlust. The famed swordsmith himself was called crazy, a bloodthirsty demon and his swords were equally so.
Tokugawa Ieyasu believed in these stories and was convinced that Muramasa blades were cursed. He thought these demon blades targeted the Tokugawa clan. It is not surprising why, his family had a history of bad luck with Muramasa blades.
NOTE: I mispronounced some of the names here. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!
